Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, born April 26, 1991 also known professionally as Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the debut female signing to J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. Her debut EP Pho, released was released on the 21st of October, 2016 and was released on Dreamville Records. Her career began to grow in notoriety. Her first album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox first posted music online in 2012. Her debut album Ariography and debut mixtape in 2013 with Five Finger Discount. In 2014 Ari Lennox released her single Bound and the mixtape she self-released, Five Finger Discount. The 21st day of July, 2015, Omen featured her on Elephant Eyes the track"Sweat It Out. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville crew back then was interested in having her create Rihanna reference. The 8th of December was the day she confirmed that she had been signed to Dreamville Records. In the release album Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the song Backseat along with Cozz. On October 21 2016 she released her debut EP called Pho. Ari Lennox was a guest on J. Cole's Change and also performed on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour as the opening act. Also, she was featured on the songs Nothing but the Best by EarthGang as well as Icarus along with Bas, her labelmates. Ari Lennox's first album Shea Butter Baby was released on the 16th of July, 2018. The album's first single, called Whipped Cream of the album dropped on the 5th of September, 2018 and featured a a music video. On the 9th of November, she released two additional singles, forty Shades of Choke as well as Grampa. In November 2013, she dropped No One, and Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby. Shea Butter Baby later made appearances on the Creed II album soundtrack alongside Cole. She dropped this single to promote her debut titled Creed II on 26 February 2019. This track, which was made available with a video on YouTube February 20, 2019 was watched more than 3 million times in the first seven days. In support of the track, she toured in concert with 6LACK in December 2018 on The From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
